AdiStem Cell Extraction Medium

AdiStem Cell Extraction Medium

The Cell Extraction Medium is a proprietary lecithin emulsifier produced by AdiStem, which has been used successfully for the past 6 years and allows the safe and easy extraction of stromal cells. Some enzymatic cell media being used out there may destroy cells if the reaction is not stopped in time. They reduce cell viability, cell count and ultimately the clinical efficiency of the regenerative cells.

By using AdiStem’s plant based dissolution medium these variables are eliminated. Lipids and connective tissue fragments from the adipose fat are dissolved and the concentration of stem cells is increased.

PhotoActivation Reduces Pain and Accelerates Healing in PRP Treatments

Adistem’s proprietary PhotoActivation Technology is being used increasingly in Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) preparations for Osteoarthritis, Degenerative Knees, Muscle Tears, Tendon Injuries, Joint Pain and Ligament Injuries.

Ten minutes exposure of PRP to AdiLight-2 photoactivation, prior to injecting, has been found to significantly reduce inflammation and accelerate healing through enhancing growth factors and increasing Interleukin I – Receptor Antagonist. Patients begin to feel relief from pain within a couple of days – instead of weeks or months. The normal treatment protocol is one injection weekly for 3 weeks (i.e., 3 visits).

Neither practitioners nor their staff need training to use AdiLight-2 as it is merely an additional step in the current PRP procedure – for both Orthopedic and Cosmetic applications.

AdiLight-2 Has Been Used to Activate Stem Cells Since 2008

PhotoActivation Technology has also been used for activating adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs) for therapeutic and regenerative application since 2008. ASCs lie dormant within adipose tissue and it requires photoactivation for them to ‘awaken’ and come into full functionality and begin self-renewal by cell division and formation of other cell types by differentiation and transdifferentiation.

The very high volume of ASCs in adipose tissue means there is no need to culture in a laboratory for days to achieve “therapeutic threshold” i.e. therapeutic benefit. Harvesting ASCs is done through a simple, minimally invasive liposuction under local anesthesia. The process is relatively easy and painless and poses minimal risk to the patient. It is a single procedure in a sterile setting.

AdiLight-2 is now used by physicians in 46 countries. Many thousands of patients with degenerative diseases such as Diabetes, Osteoarthritis, Age-Related Joint Pain, and various lung conditions including Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, have been helped – and lives have been saved.

Prior to photoactivation, stem cell treatments require the use of a proprietary “Cell Extraction Medium” to isolate stem cells from the fat. Doctors need to be given some initial guidance in the cell extraction and activation procedure by a trainer or by an existing practitioner. This can be arranged through AdiStem.

There are no ethical or moral issues in harvesting stem cells from a patient’s own adipose fat tissue.
